Need condo insurance in Florida?

Hi, can anyone point me to any web sites or insurance agents in Florida that are still writing insurance for condos? Thanks!

www.huttinsurance.com . . . owned by an old buddy of mine, and if he can’t write it, no one can.

Oh, right, no one can. LOL just kidding. condo insurance in FL is like homeowners – really, really expensive, and you might also need flood or wind. Not many companies will do it, but you already know that.

Condo Insurance in Tampa, Florida Needed ASAP?

Now that State Farm Insurance will no longer be providing home or condo insurance, does anyone know another company that has reasonable insurance? I am not necessarily looking for the cheapest but want a reliable one that will PAY if I actually have a claim!

Jenny K, home insurance covers lots of different things. I’m not familiar with all the fine print of my policy, but my homeowners insurance agent is always helpful. Try calling your agent or a agent in your town. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Home-Insurance.html They will be able to help you.

My property in Florida was vandalized, does my homeowners insurance cover vandalism?

I am insured with homeowners insurance in South Florida, and my home got vandalized, doses my insurance cover Vandalism. And do I need a Florida public adjuster to represent me to my Florida homeowners insurance?

Maybe it’s covered. Does your homeowners policy cover THAT premises? Is your home vacant, or unoccupied? Is vandalism covered under your policy?

You need to ask your agent.

You don’t need a public adjuster – at least not yet.

How much is home insurance per year in South Florida ?

Were purchasing a home around 300,000 how much is insurance yearly ? Anyone pay around this much ?

It doesn’t work that way. It’s ALSO based on the age of the house, YOUR CREDIT SCORE, the claims history of both you and the house, etc.

And the bad news is, there isn’t any competition for homeowners insurance in FL – you’re GOING to end up with the state fund, Citizens. The HOMEOWNERS part of it will cost you about $3,000 a year. The FLOOD insurance part will likely cost you about $1500 – but the MOST flood coverage you can get is $250,000, so you’ll be needing to put at least $50,000 down on the house or you won’t be able to get the mortgage. Then the WIND coverage is probably going to run you about $5,000.

Total insurance cost . . . budget $10,000, and you should be slightly under.
