Why do parents let their children behave this way?
Question by Logic and Reason are your only sovereigns: Why do parents let their children behave this way?
This just irks me. I see it all the time, especially in the restaurant I work at. Parents don’t pay attention to their children and let them stand up in the booths to turn around and stare at the people behind them. Or let them run around through the aisles while other customers and servers try to avoid stepping on/tripping over them. Or let them mess with the contents of the tables (pouring the salt and pepper shakers all over the place, ripping open sugar packets and pouring them on the tables, batting at the hanging lamp over the table, etc.). Now I don’t see this happen EVERYDAY but it happens way too often.
When I was a kid we were to keep our bottoms in our seats at all times unless we needed to go to the bathroom. We weren’t allowed to run around and play in the restaurant, because well, it’s NOT a playground! And we weren’t allowed to make a mess at the table just because we wanted to. Why do some parents just ignore what their kids are doing? Do they think it’s okay for that kind of behavior? Would they, as an adult, stand up in their booth to stare at the people behind them? Of course not! So why is it okay for their kids to do so?
Sorry, I keep going on and on here. But just recently at my work there was a customer who was letting his kids roll around the restaurant in those shoes with the wheels in them. My manager tried to tell the guy that it’s rather dangerous to let his kids do that and they could get hurt with the other people/servers walking around trying to do their job. His response? “Oh don’t worry, we’ve got really good insurance.”…… WTF???
I have a child thank you. And if my child cannot behave in a restaurant, then I wouldn’t take him to it. When my parents were raising me and my siblings, they made SURE we behaved ourselves, and if we couldn’t, they wouldn’t take us out.
knockonwood… my parents used to get compliments too on how well we were behaved. I plan on raising my son the same way, to be polite and respectful of other people.
Oh, also, I’m talking about a little macaroni on the floor. Obviously a baby/small child cannot help where food ends up sometimes (still developing motor skills and all). What I have a problem with is when the parents just let them trash the other items on the table (salt/pepper shakers, sugar packets, ketchup). And I’m not talking about arranging them, big deal. I mean ripping them open, pouring them out, squirting ketchup all over the place, etc.
I meant to say I’m *not* talking about… typo

Because there are a lot of parents these days who have no idea what discipline is, and if an accident happens, they blame the restaurant and get all ‘lawsuit’ happy.

How can I see a doctor?
Question by Krista: How can I see a doctor?
I have been unemployed for a while. I got denied unemployment simply because I wasn’t laid off, but due to the fact my boss told me I was going to be soon because there wasn’t enough operate, and I found yet another job, place in two weeks notice and was told to think about my two weeks served and that was it.
I couldn’t afford COBRA at the time, now it’s more affordable simply because of the law Pres. Bush signed ahead of leaving workplace, but my COBRA expired months ago.
My husband is the only one in our household of 4 (us and my parents) who has a job. My dad got laid off a couple months after I left the very same company. Mom is disabled and has a lot of health conditions, and since my husband is the only one functioning, income is really tight. We have to borrow from other members of our loved ones to pay the rent, and that isn’t going to last lengthy since most of the rest of my loved ones is either unemployed or retired, and rewards are dwindling fast.
My husband makes $ 40,000 a year, so I can’t get ACCCHS or state or federal assistance to see a physician, but his revenue can’t even help all of us. We can’t afford to get me wellness insurance, even although th least expensive strategy I found was much less than $ 90 a month, we just can’t afford anything correct now.
I am quite sick and in a lot of pain, and I have been for about 6 months. I can’t afford to see a medical doctor, and there are no no cost clinics anywhere near me, and I can’t afford to drive the 150 miles to the nearest “sliding fee” clinic.
What can I do? How do folks like me see a physician? Am I going to die from what ever illness I have that is continually getting worse due to the fact no a single will support me?
Why won’t the government help me to get medical care I desperately will need? They are giving no cost medical care to illegal aliens, but since my husband makes too considerably, I can’t get help to see a physician, and they in no way place into the equation how considerably of his revenue has to pay bills. If my family members pays for me to go to the physician, we won’t be able to pay these bills and will shed the location we are renting and anything else, so what do I do? I can’t carry on to live like this, I am in severe pain all day and evening, virtually unable to walk because of the severe pain, and I have a lot of other circumstances that will need instant treatment. SO WHAT DO I DO???
Please don’t post factors like “click this link for wellness insurance coverage quotes” due to the fact I have been hunting for months and the very best plan I discovered (which I intend to get if I can ever discover work) covers every little thing I require and is very low-cost. I do not will need insurance quotes, I will need tips on how to see a physician correct now, not when I can afford insurance coverage.
I do NOT imply anything poor about illegals getting healthcare, I think absolutely everyone, legal or not, has a appropriate to be healthy and not die of disease that is either preventable or treatable, which includes these here illegally. They are human, very same as us legal citizens. But why can’t us legal citizens get the exact same rewards? Kind of messed up, if you ask me!

Can I file a water damaged mac under homeowners insurance?
So here’s the deal: My roommate pushed someone walking into my room while they were holding a water pitcher. It spilled all over my computer and caused a lot of damage, over $800 worth… It really was an accident cause he couldnt see that he was holding the water pitcher. Apple doesn’t cover water damage so we (really he) has to pay for it. Even thou im at college, is there any way we could file this under homeowners insurance? Or anything else to make it cost less?
If the computer is scheduled under valuable items on your or your parents’ homeowners insurance policy, you will probably have coverage for this with no deductible. Before you make a claim, call your agent and find out if you have this coverage. If he or she says you do, then you should still weigh whether or not to submit the claim since it is still relatively small, i.e. you should limit your claims to instances where you truly cannot afford to handle the damage yourself.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!
